Out of hours surgery cover is provided by Derbyshire Health United. Please telephone 0115 855 4250. It is useful to have a pen and paper handy as you may be given a telephone number to ring. Alternatively you can ring NHS Direct on 0845 4647 or click on the web link below for help and advice.

Alternatively patients can access Stapleford Walk in Centre which offers a Nurse Led Treatment of Minor Injury and Illness.

Stapleford Walk in Centre opening times are:-

Monday to Friday 0800 to 1800

Saturday and Sunday 0800 to 1600

Below is a list of some of the conditions the Walk in Centre can deal with

• Stomach ache, indigestion, constipation, vomiting and diarrhoea
• Women’s health problems, e.g. cystitis
• Cuts / abrasions / bites / stings
• Skin complaints – rashes / sunburn / nappy rash
• Sprains / strains
• Minor burns
• Impetigo – non-recurrent

Patients can also access the new Darzi, Ilkeston Family Practice which provides GP Walk in Services. This service is based at Ilkeston Community Hospital in the Minor Injuries Unit.
